AS I LAY DYING

As I lay dying,
gasping for breath.
Dark angels crawl besides me,
tasting my tears.
surrounded by grief,
lying in helpless pain.
All my attempts to survive
just went in vain.
engulfed in the endless dark,
hoping for the signs of heaven
to save me from this desperation.
i puked blood out of my mouth,
gaining the devil's admiration.
they feed on my pain and fear,
lying helplessly i shed tears.
suffering from wounds,
lying in the pool of my own blood.
But held tightly the fragrant,
red rose in my hand.
which i wished to gift her.
the rose meant to be the gift for my love.
but at the end it became the
red rose for the devil's whore.
